Returning to a canvas darkens drawings.

This isn't visible to my friends, they see it perfectly fine. I've tried everything I can to fix it myself but nothing is working. Here is a Glumshanks as an example.
The darkness appears normal in the layers on the right side of the screen, but appears darker on the canvas.
This happens whenever I close magma and eventually return to it.
In the second image I tried to edit the lightness to make it look better but then it just appeared too light to my friends as it already looked normal to them.

Here is a much better example. Here I've learned it also effects the layers.
