yes! it would also be nice if layer groups are alpha-clippable (say you have your lines and colours in a folder and want to add shading over the top of everything but not overlapping the background)- clip studio has this feature iirc

Also I saw someone said you can use them for clipping onto clipping layers, that'll be cool! :D

I think that there should be an option to where you can put a bunch of layers into one folder in a drawing to keep things organized and clean, so that you can work on other stuff in the same drawing without having to hide all the layers. Its also good too just have a folder with a bunch of layers that you can open and close if you wanted to than having a bunch of layers that you could get confused with

We have started looking into layer grouping, although it might take significant amount of time, as there is a lot of challenges that we have to overcome due to collaborative nature of Magma;
most likely we'll implement selecting and transforming multiple layers at the same time, before adding true layer groups.

being able to put layers in folders would make things so much easier,
like I usually use multiple lays to sketch, so if I could put multiple layers in a folder and then lower the opacity, I could draw the lineart over the sketch, and actually see what I'm doing, as opposed to going to each individual layer and lowering the opacity
Layer folders would also just be really useful for organization
