I really really need the ability to message someone even when they’re not on the same art board as me. Sometimes I see my friends online but not on our art board and I can’t contact them :(
It would be nice when users who follow each other mutually could message each other

yeah especially if they dont have any posts, cause thats usually how i talk to them but its a hassle. especially cause you dont know if or when they replied.

there should be a 1 on 1 chat system and friending so you can text your friends and then if your in a jam with your friend you can talk privatly

Outside of any Artspace, you could possibly go on to a person's profile and see a little button that says "Chat" or has a picture of a speech bubble on it, AKA the DM. You would click on the DM and start chatting with the person, I think this would be really nice for people new to Magma to have a more experienced person show them around the basics (besides the tutorials) or would be great for just generally having friends-

An MD or direct messages that you can send to your friends but to avoid things, that has a mm filter... only send jam links that are from magma itself, that you can't send photos maybe in case of ^^ I need to send messages to friends that I can't connect to the TT jam
